Re: Wabash central expanding?

I have noticed that the now land locked caboose has now been wired for power. All lit up inside, It caught me off guard going to work this morning. I would guess that the trailer is deteriorating as it's been there since the Indiana hi rail days. No. 12 has never returned so I assume it was sold hop...

Loram rail grinders are in the cloverleaf yard. It appears to be two trains, one train consists of two cab units. The other has a singular cab unit with water cars.

Re: PTC comes to NCD

Old signals were removed today, resting on a flatbed truck. I wish I could've bought them if they were available, although I know my wife would kill me if I did. :D

cnur crane for sale

While searching craigslist for chevy scottsdale parts. I stumbled across an add that contained a little of everything. Tractors firetrucks classic work trucks from the fifties. I then noticed some older hi rail trucks that I recognized belonging to cnur. Also now listed in the ad is a 250 industrial...

Re: Feasability study planned for river and rail attraction

Now that headwaters junction has a battle plan i have a few questions. The first phase calls for a narrow gauge line to the Fort Wane Zoo, is the train going to be more like a generic gas powered train like the zoo has, or cedar points narrow gauge which is live steam coal fired. 2nd Is the option o...

4 a.m. 2/16/15 Norfolk southern crews were busy working just south of silver street. Also Wabash Central has been picking up extra business from Alexin LLC. Aluminum rods are transloaded from truck to flat car.

Wabash Central Maintenance

The east end of the trestle across the Wabash river was receiving some attention. It seams the roadbed was dug up and raised as well. They have a track tamper machine on site with plenty of fresh ballast to be worked.

Re: Feasability study planned for river and rail attraction

Nimbys, Vandals and noise complaints will be an issue wherever they are. And just give it time, the outskirts of new haven are expanding every year. Don't think people won't complain about the noise at Casad in the future. The tax issue, I would assume since they were asking for light lease money it...

Re: Feasability study planned for river and rail attraction

I wonder the cost of cleaning the soil at the omnisource site would motivate it to be sold for cheap. On a side note i was a little worried when i saw the current conceptual drawing, but if it is the same size as age of steam then great. Is there still a potential for freight service still?

CNUR 7 is coupled to a covered hopper that is being transloaded next to bond street. WBCR removed 2 or 3 ties and dug a hole for a conveyor loader to fit.
