Only thing I can say is this.....in response to the post from MSchwiebert...Thank God that the I&O is only a part of RailAmerica and not the standard.....CFE east of Ft.Wayne is under Norac rules and West of Ft.Wayne are under NS operating rules....no GCOR on this line at all...two very different ra...

Not sure which direction of travel you caught...but the last doubled up grain train I sent east from Ft.Wayne was an outbound from Hamlet..bound for interchange with the CSXT at Crestline..another one sent east today and 2 inbounds for Hamlet online and moving west from Crestline now...with another ...

Hi cubes are inbound for RRD at Warsaw and the BN refer units are for intersate cold storage just outside of Ft.Wayne

Be careful there JW...lets not forget the last time I made the same kind of case in dealing with the IN and started a storm that would not stop...most of the time people do not care about what makes good business sense..it's dream land on the back of the working class tax paying guys like us..

wow..lets see here...started out in the mid 80's with the Little River railroad...went to the Indiana Northeastern next..worked in the MOW and as locomotive engineer...stint with the fun filled NS out of East Wayne as Conductor in the early 90's and then worked as Engineer with Amtrak for 7 years..w...

Greg....
Not that stripped down...lol....some of main number 2 was left and used as passing sidings.....from Ft.Wayne heading west are 6 passing sidings left. The most heavily used are at Arcola,Warsaw and Hamlet. The other remaining 3 are small and do not see much service.

Jett 37....I would really like to thank you for the pics you have posted on here with regards to the EL...just prior to alot of the pics, in the late 60's and early 70's I can recall riding with my mother and father to Decatur to drop my father off at DA tower...he would ride back east to his office...

Keith.... He is not the only Train Master thanking someone each and every day for removing the second main...lol...With Hamlet grain running full throttle..2 road switchers working 6 days a week and daily Chicago trains...I could use some extra room to dance every now and then....maybe not the entir...

Wayne....you are so right..lol...I have my hands full..but to answer the first question that Greg had...it was the FWRD..Ft.Wayne Road switcher coming home from working Arcola...serviced SDI-thus the steel beams and empty gons..the boxcars are from Essex metals and any grain hoppers you might see on...

Sorry I missed you Greg...could not have been by much..was just leaving the office around 6:30 PM..CSX power headed for Crestline on unit trains of grain from Hamlet and Decatur...5002/3092 is the power assigned to the westbound CHI train tonight and the 3883/3886 are going out on the Warsaw switch ...
