If anyone is still interested, we have a couple of diesel throttle time slots available with our Erie-Lackawanna Alco S1 no. 310. This is on a first-come, first-served basis and should be an exciting experience!

Yeah, the "Peru locomotive" mentioned is C&O 2-8-4 No. 2789 at the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum in North Judson. As for restoration, it's going to take a lot of money to do so. HVRM does have a steam fund setup and we regularly receive donations towards the eventual restoration of the big engine. ...

I noticed the same thing on the old IMC near Plymouth. It does stand out, but I'm not sure if it's Conrail blue or not... seems too light.
