Re: Wabash central expanding?

Two weeks ago a crew was looking over no. 12. It still hasn't moved under its own power in 6 months or so. Also what appears to be a 1974 gmc brigadier rotary dump truck is on a lowboy outside wabash centrals office.

Re: Wabash central expanding?

In other Wabash Central news it looks like no.12 is getting new wheel sets. It is parked north of Wiley St with two new wheels next to it.

Considering that two people died yesterday on cherry street I would say your right, apparently it was a double suicide. :(

Its to bad Wabash Central isn't repairing Wiley street crossing, I see the city or Norfolk southern packed asphalt into the holes in the wooden crossing.

The borrowed power would make a little sense, either way its a sad situation that didn't need to happen.

Wrongful death suit filed

http://www.indianasnewscenter.com/news/local/Wrongful-Death-Lawsuit-Filed-for-Car-Train-Crash--205619571.html The news report claims Thomas A. Janero is filling suit against Norfolk Southern and CSX. How is CSX responsible in any way when to my knowledge they don't have any trackage in montpelier, IN?

Huntington question

While in Huntington Yesterday I noticed an old railroad crane. Near the intersection of market and center streets. It appears to be landlocked now, after looking at the building on google earth I noticed what appears to be a transfer table near it also. What was this building used for?

Re: Bluffton Indiana, The WBCR, the MofW train and more!

A herzog train went through on Thursday dumping ballast in the Bluffton area, I finally had the opportunity to watch the train unload ballast remotely. Do these type of trains require an extra engine to keep extra air to run the pneumatic rams for the dump chutes. Or is one locomotive enough to prov...

Also visiting Bluffton today is a crane and a scale car. The yard is slowly filling up with random equipment.
