Circus train - NS Chicago Line Wednesday.

For those of you up north, this is a Harrisburg-Omaha jump like last year, think it hit Indiana right after sunrise and went into Chicago around 4 last year.

If you have not been following this work, and have not been to Claypool lately, you might not recognize that part.

Re: New Waterlevel Derailment

Amtrak 29 and 49 have service disruptions, show not departed DC or NYP , must be taking the cancelation method , as I bet 48 and 30 eventually do too.
2 mins after posting 30 did the same :)

Re: ATCS and Audio feed to go silent

There doesn't have to be a single good point in the area, just would take more radios and all to cover area using multiple sites, but good radios to monitor with are 85 dollars each, so the less sites the better. Also more costs in computers and antennas and all too.

Re: ATCS not working for me

Seems ok here. Only trouble point i know of is the CSX Kingsbury server is having issues, so when i get reception i add my own to it and get partial coverage from milford to bremen or so usually, ft wayne and deshler servers cover east of cromwell very good then.

Re: Fort Wayne Conrail Headquarters

And the current days version runs up the NKP to the Chicago line in NW Indiana and east to Elkhart, most likely soon there will be the final version down NKP to Claypool then north up the branch. Interesting we have saw 3 and soon 4 ways to connect Elkhart to Ft. Wayne by rail in our lifetimes(well,...

Re: Train Derailment

There was a coal train with a cracked axle that derailed just west of Milford Jct. on CSX a few years ago, I would imagine diamonds and switch frogs would be a final point of failure for those types of defects at almost any speed. Diamond did the one in Milford in if I remember right. then minimal d...

Re: Train Derailment

Be a bummer to be on An Amtrak train right now not knowing your delay is caused by a train derailing and hitting your car if you were going to Waterloo tonight.

Re: Where's this 3/25/10

Well, when I say I was very young, I mean like 3 or 4 , so I would guess that tower came down around 71 or 72. It was before the lumberyard fire where the post office is, I also remember the siding for the lumber yard on the overpass for Columbia street, I bet it was gone in that video too?
