Open House
Crowd was rather thin Saturday night. 765 was steamin' nicely, but we didn't get to see her move. Lots of smoke over Jefferson Pk last night. Too soon it will all be over.

Thanks Micheal. I probably will not venture out there. Let us know if you hear any more about the BNSF expansion. I've heard that the trend is to get the T.T. yards out of Chicago, neighbors don't like the noise.

Additional info is also available on the Wabash RR Historical Site. Now if we can just get V.B. to get his "jackson line" book to the publishers!!!

Open House weekend
We should also remind the good folks on this board that the steam and gas show will also be in process around the corner on Webby that weekend. Lookin' forward to seein' all that black smoke fillin' the air.

Omni power
Hey Markedup, be careful that they don't see you when you prowl around the scrapyard. They might just take you on as their part-time "junk yard dog". (Bark loud enough, and they'll give you a free ride on the switcher.)

Rochelle TT yard on UP (CNW)
Earth to Michael M., (are you still out there), do you know anything about this new intermodal yard at Rochelle that UP put in? On a recent weekend trip to see family at DeKalb, my brother-in-law told me about this great big new yard there. UP trains were ripping through DeKalb when we were there, v...

Lumber yard
I believe there was a link to that sight on the Indiana board. I remember looking at some of those pictures. BTW, IIRC, the lumber yard in Decatur was Arnold's Do It, not Adams lumber. It was on the EL mainline.

Maplecrest Extention
Don't know the answer, Markedup. I am wondering if the road coming through there is the reason the Midwest Rail plant went out of commission there? All the frogs outside have disappeared.
