Bob J. caught it on the L82 in Muncie coming from the Progress Rail plant.
I've been told the narrow gauge track and other gauges have been installed now at Progress Rail, so its possible it worked there and is being sent to other locations.

Re: Are there any railfan groups or clubs in the area?
Nothing formally organized. Sometimes someone will post on this site or the Indiana Railfan site, "hey let's meet at..." Otherwise, railfanning is generally, but not always, a lone wolf activity. I have a friend, who if he sees another person, will leave and go elsewhere. I don't know why... I will...

Re: Strange situation, at least it seemed like it.
Bob, Come to Kingsland siding. In the middle of the siding is CR700N. On a daily (it seems) basis, a NIMBY calls the sheriff to complain about a blocked crossing. As NB (timetable West) trains hit the Bluffton Holdout signal the dispatcher will tell them to find a place to stop off crossings (usual...

I sent you a note a while back but it bounced. Just figured you moved on with life!
Glad to see your back.
If you get down this way, hit me up.

Well, had I checked this last night I would have given you the time. Extra was scheduled to be called in the wee hours of the morning. As most know, scheduled doesn't mean it will happen that exact minute though.

Heads up FtWayne!
There should be a extra 098 heading north this evening with 8 of the tarped FMG units. L82 pulled the final group today and should match up with the other units to head your way tonight. So morning time they should be there.

Re: NCD Eastbounds Question
The last I had heard, they were going to have a train pick up the Erie and Reading units and take them straight south to Chattanooga to be set up instead of Conway - has that happened yet :? Also, I've heard the last six are going to sent directly to Spencer to give them time to be ready for the ev...

Re: NCD Eastbounds Question
If you mean what could possibly pick up at Muncie and go south with the power from Progress. The L82 could easily pull them and put them in the Delco track for pickup. Thank you , CIOR, for answering.I got bit for asking this question on a national site.I just wondered if any train could add two de...

Re: NCD Eastbounds Question
The grape vine says they could/would use one of the Chatt trains and recrew once at Muncie with a MR crew and let them make the grab. Then again, I've heard that a special would be called and just use a engine from the yard and run as a (ZERO) train. I love me some rumors, what makes that railroad g...

Re: 1st. Anniversary of Last Post
:) BTW, kudos to the Indiana board bullsession. Much better now since a year ago when I made a jab at it. I feel all the credit goes to Nathan, hope to meet him someday and express my thanks for the great job he is doing there. :!: You made a jab? :o  I just thought someone got ahold of you c...
