wabash central at ethanol plant

Post by dbrackin7 » Sat Apr 21, 2012 11:13 am

I noticed yesterday that one of wabash centrals units was tied up to an airslide hopper in the ethanol plant yard, anyone know why?

yup wbcr 12 (with operation lifesaver logo on long hood) sat there all weekend. I saw them use the trackmobile Sat morning. The green machine sat by the loading shed.

Im under the impression that no.12 is working at the ethanol plant for now, I noticed the extended cab ford ranger of wbcr parked next to no. 12 today. As I passed they were in the process of firing it up :D

It seems to be their power of choice, now. I saw (heard) it moving cars Thu/Fri/Sat.

I figure they can't use hand signals due to the curving tracks closely spaced, but I had all RR frequencies on the scanner and heard nothing. WBCR usually uses the NCD frequency in Bluffton, as they need to use the main for many of their moves. Next time I'm home, I'll scan other frequencies.

Wabash Central unit is long gone from the ethanol plant, now.
It was just for a week while they apparently worked on the green machine.
