NW caboose in Bluffton today

A Norfolk Southern work train is parked for the night on Wabash Centrals trackage tonight with a Norfolk and Western caboose, The work train seems to be loaded with ties, due for unloading there is a cat excavator riding along the railcar also. My question is does Norfolk Southern need permission to park its train also does Wabash central make any money off it?

It's been there since at least Wednesday. It is part of work train 91K. It has been working South of Bluffton this week.

NS still owns the yard. Wabash Central is leasing the line, so I am guessing there is a clause in the lease agreement stating NS can use it whenever they have a need. I

I forget how it works there, but I know there is a track NS uses. I just remember we could leave stuff in there. There is a main and then the interchange and something about so many feet from the last crossing.

NS3566 is sitting back in Bluffton again. I assume the caboose is too, as I watched them unloading ties thru Ponto Friday.

As of tonight 2/3 of the train is in the wabash central yard. The other 1/3 is near the stone quarry.

Also visiting Bluffton today is a crane and a scale car. The yard is slowly filling up with random equipment.
