What railroad?
Coming back from Michigan yesterday via US24 I noticed that a railroad runs along side the highway.
It appeared that there was track work in progress as I saw new bundle of ties and stacks of old ties.
Also some track maintenance equipment was working just past a grade crossing.
It looked like a lot of track with no customers to serve.
I am interested in what railroad this is and what customers it serves.
Please help with information if possible.
Thanks.

Re: What railroad?
MAW came into being to operate the line when IHRC went bankrupt in the late 1990s.
Re: What railroad?
I'm also guessing that you're talking about the ND&W, The Napoleon, Defiance & Western, owned by Pioneer Railcorp. They bought the line a couple years ago I believe and have been putting some money into pulling the rails out of the swamp and trying to run trains over it.
