NKP 765 July 18th
I see the NKP 765 is supposed to go to Lafayette from Ft. Wayne on July 18th. I was wondering where it's supposed to leave from in Ft Wayne, what route it's taking and if it's returning to Ft. Wayne at the same spot. Thanks for any info.

The train will leave from the Do-It Best world headquarters on Nelson Road on the NS Huntington District (former Wabash) run to Lafayette and then return to the same spot. The train will then be turned around, serviced and readied for the Sunday trip.

Yes, I didn't get to follow the turnaround move the last time, I'm hoping to follow it this year, after we get off the train.

Actually I have one more question and that would be if anyone knows the best locations to get pics for this trip? I won't be able to watch it leave but I'll be able to see it return.

A train moving west in the morning and east in the afternoon is kind of a worst case scenario for a photographer. If you want quality pics, you will likely have to scout a location where the trees or terrain somewhat block the afternoon sun, unless of course it is cloudy. I use Bing maps and Google street view to scout out potential photo locations.
