Twenty Years Ago

Post by jett37 » Tue Jun 19, 2007 12:03 pm

On a foggy 90 degree day at Muncie twenty years ago in 1987 NS 143 was passing along side the old C&O with NS 1629-8001-1624 at 6:30AM.
Power for the NS 197, 8562-8651 was at New Haven. Late in the evening NS F12F was at Kingsland with the 1318-2850-2868.

Or your just getting older... :?

Had a group of probably 10 year olds lob rocks out a train on evening in the summer back in say 97'. The only time I had an issue in Pelier. Go figure...probably someone tipped them off about the BHS kid on there, you know how the Pelierites took to them building that new HS in HC. 27 years prior...

Don't do that, I might have my HC Citizenship revoked.......on the other hand, go for it..lol

For those not from the area, we all like to tease each other about where we are from. Your either HC or Pelier kids.

You are right ED, they have added some heighth to the hill. Do not know if I could climb it now or not. Here is a shot from the hill at New Castle today (June 22, 07) of NS 235 2710-9049 at 2 PM. I can drive and park on this one.

We have a fine new hill on the Ft. Wayne Belt.
I don't want to disturb the newly planted grass.
(As good a excuse for my old legs as any.)
