Any one have a scanner for sale on here? I don't have the spare change to blow on some $500 scanner. :evil: probably not. you should turn your scanners off for a whole day to see how I feel

You don't need to buy a $500 scanner to find out where the trains are. I picked up an analog 200 channel Radio Trash unit on clearance for $70. I put a railgain antenna on it and it worked fine. I could hear conversations 20/30 miles away. Dispatchers came in over 40 miles from the base clearly. Narrowbanding has made those "the good old days". :evil:
If and until the RR go digital, those fancy trunking scanners are expensive paperweights. :mrgreen:

Bought one off Amazon 11 days ago.
