I don't know about anybody else, but I need a little more background to hazzard a guess.

I live 400 ft from the electric switch lock in the photo to the right on your flicker page, though, so make that next weeks.

While I have no clue where this old flatcar resides, it brought back a memory from my childhood. One time my mom and I were waiting at a crossing in New Haven for a NS train to go by and I remember being shocked to see an old black gondola go by with the reporting marks "NKP" and in barely visible lettering in the other corner of the car it said "Nickel Plate Road" I want to say that was from the late 80's but I can't be positive :?

Swayzee, Indiana on the former Clover Leaf, flat car was used as a loading ramp.

I don't know if it is still there or not, the last time I saw it was in October 2005.

I went through Swayzee today and the NKP flat car is still there. Looks like they are getting ready to put some ties in, just enough to hold the guage.
