Ye, I figured it would let guys play either way. Thought some would realize where they would leave a diamond in.

The three rail lines were EL,CN,and Cloverleaf. The closeup made it look like a jungle down there instead of a village nine miles from me. The diamond and the mainline have been severed West of Elgin and are awaiting scrapping.

Sorry about the close up. G Earth views of Ohio have always been rather more fuzzy. There may have been something I wanted to exclude but I think might main intent was to make the stranded diamond dominate the view.. If it had been any worse and I would not have used it. Hd to pass on several because of that.

Thanks for the info. There is much about outside of local roads I have never been able to look in to. Usually just noted what I saw the few times I could get out of my box and wondered to myself. Really interesting learning from the people on the list that have been able to travel and get histories of those areas I could never get to. Still feel behind the curve that I get much because of the posts that something else is being ripped out.

 I sure hope that the port authority of Van Wert Co changes its mind about destroying what litte is left there of our precious EL. They should be connecting it back to state line instead of tearing it out. RA should connect w/it at state line to complete the route back to Decatur. Then they really could make alot of noise and piss off that ole fart in Decatur a whole lot more!
