I was curious as to where it ended.
- I'm standing in Indiana looking south. I am standing on a siding, that continues and and this siding has a switch a little further down as a train would have to pass this switch and then make a reverse move to make it to the customers dock doors, The mainline use to continue in this photo just to the left of the siding however the main has been lifted and the ROW was cleared of anything that resembled a RR ever existed

Yes Sir, The section that is in Indiana was disconnected just north of the Stateline. While rail is still in place future looks pale but at least it is in place.JW wrote:GR&I. Lagrange.

Being on the extra board in the Fort yes I have been there. I would be head brakeman to Grand Rapids get 8 hours rest then Greyhound back to the Fort. Only time got North is when old timers would mark off. All Northbound firemen and 3rd brakemen would leave the run at Sturgis. My last trip on this section was 45 years ago.
