JW. Its a cast concrete mile marker. The numbers seam to have been "liberated" some time in the past. The US 224 overpass is in the background and to the right. The P's seems to be ceramic castings. I'm thinking the numbers were cast iron. It's a very unique mile marker. Ken

I could be wrong, but I think the "P" means measured from Pittsburgh.
