EMD Demonstrators at East Wayne

Post by B.C. » Thu Dec 20, 2012 5:33 pm

On my usual after work roll-by I noticed these two EMD Demonstrators (#1210 and #1209) sitting by the fuel rack at E. Wayne. I'm guessing they are SD70AC units but I could be wrong. This was the best shot I got considering where they were located and that I only had my iPhone. Now if only there would be a Heritage unit sitting out there one of these days.

It must be a pain for NS to put Heritage Units on freights instead of coal trains.

Speaking of Heritage Units, NS 1069 (Virginian) is in Fostoria,OH.

Yeah I saw that last night on heritageunits.com. It is unfortunate that they are so rare through these parts. I've been lucky enough to catch a few when they've been through town but I don't go out of my way to catch one.

These have been at the fueling rack in Muncie behind Progress rail for probably a month if not more. I'd bet when the first CP units rolled out, these went north too, but I could be wrong.
