The first run through NS train on the CF&E was through Van Wert WB at 3:30pm. Leading were NS 1050/9064/9855 with a long mixed freight. Had heard symbol maybe W1E. Is this symbol correct? Can some of you verify/correct this symbol?
yes that sounds correct.... I seen a photo over on facebook.....
Engine NS 1050 westbound at Plymouth, Indiana, about 11 pm, Nov. 5, as train CFE04. 114 cars mostly various types of covered hoppers.

Another NS run through on the CF&E was through Van Wert around 11AM this morning. Local railfan said it may have been another 19A or something like that. He didn't get symbol.
Happy Thanksgiving! Another WB NS run through on the CF&E in Van Wert at 9:55am Leading were NS OLS 9254/BNSF 5814/BNSF 4946 hauling around 121 cars. Train had 38 gons upfront. Rest of train had gons, boxes, empty coil car centerbeams, bulkhead tanks and plastics hoppers. Plus, a friend said at 4:20am this morning a CSX grain train was through VW. Keeping the rails polished on this holiday.
Does anyone know how many NS trains now use this route per day?
