Buckhorn has announced the closure of their Bluffton IN Facility, Wabash Central to lose a rail customer.

Hopefully the plant will be sold intact..

I'm not privy to their financials, so can't tell how much it will hurt, but it will definitely sting.

Good News ! Buckhorn Plastics has been purchased by 20/20 Plastics of Montpelier OH and is re=opening the Bluffton IN, Facility. 20/20 has grown leaps and bounds the over the last several years..

No word if they will use Wabash Central. I don't think they will truck in pellets, but HQ is close enough to try.

There was an item in the local newspaper this week that 20/20 had applied for TIF for some equipment. New equipment needs raw materials, so it could be good news for Wabash Central.

The main facility is on the Toll road north of Montpelier OH and the growth has exploded over the last couple years. They purchased closed and relocated Fort Wayne Plastics earlier this year. Looks like a good move for the Bluffton Facility and I know that they were doing capital improvements to Bluffton soon as they took possession.

Is Weaver still shipping ? Still running to Craigville ?

To clarify, 20/20 is building a 240,000 Sft addition to the old Buckhorn Plastics in Bluffton. The equipment in the TIF will go in the addition. Should be a win for Wabash Central.

AFAIK, they still run all the way. I heard them get time on the main, which they need to get to the Craigville section a week or so ago. I haven't been through Van Buren in several months.
