Nickel Plate Road No. 167 K-1b at Hoopeston Illinois

Nickel Plate Road No. 167 K-1b at Hoopeston Illinois, March 7, 1950 NKP 167 was built by Alco/Brooks 8/1923 and was 1 of 6 K-1b's produced.

On July 1st 1951 NKP No, 167 pulled the last eastbound passenger train No. 21 from Peoria Ill to Bloomington ILL only being 11 minutes late into Bloomington. The train Crew Saturday included Claude Hamptonstall if Frankfort IN Enginer George Griffith of Frankfort IN Brake P.E. Cornelison of Frankfort IN and Fireman Glen Armstrong of Hooperston Illinois and ending 79 years of service.
