Does anyone on the board know if the three rivers railroad heritage council still meets down at Baker Street? If so, is the meeting this coming Sunday the 19th?

Thanks.

Yes, the TRRRHC meets Sun., Sept. 19, 2:00 p.m. at Baker St. station. The next meeting will be Nov. 21, same location.

The Sept. 19 meeting will include a short presentation – a centennial remembrance – about the Sept. 21, 1910, interurban wreck at Kingsland, Indiana. It had the single highest death toll of all interurban wrecks in the U.S.: 41 people perished.

One of our members is also bringing his collection of 1917 ICC valuation maps for the Ft. Wayne & Jackson RR, covering the line from Ft. Wayne to the Indiana-Michigan border.

Everyone is encouraged to bring railroad history items for discussion.

There is no charge to attend, and the meetings are open to the public.

The gentleman building a replica interurban car for the Bluffton Street Fair says he has a book with a song written about the wreck and a list of the passengers. I don't know if he has the technical specs for the cars involved or not.
