I take it you feel you were unjustly hassled? You have to remember, even among railfans, an all-nighter is not normal.

When I was working up to the Budd company in Kville, I played hooky from work one day and headed out to New Haven to watch trains. I parked at the Erie Haven sub plant and sat there from like 4:30 am - 7:30 am. With in that time frame I seen the New Haven squad car go thru the area about 3-4 times. On the 5th time thru he stopped and pulled in. Got out of his Squad and walked over to my car. He looked in and found me asleep. He tapped his mag light on the window,I woke up to a High Beam in my eye. He asked if I was ok? I said yes, I just fell asleep watching the trains roll by. Him and I chatted for the next 45 minutes.
