Dateline: Dawkins Siding 26JUN2007 1310
NS train 17R was ordered to stop by the dispatcher so NS Police could escort an "unauthorized passenger" to his new lodgings at the grey-bar hotel. Somebody obviously got too close and personal during their railfanning. Or someone thought they could travel for free. They are about to find out how much that free trip will cost. I hope it wasn't anyone here on this forum, because they are about to have a bad day.

I was in the office, the wireless on my laptop isn't that good. And if it was me, I'm sure the NS guys would have confiscated it before I could post anything.

I was in Plainfield, Indiana watching state workers pull a church bus from N. Carolina out of fresh poured concrete on State Road 267.

I'm glad he called it concrete, so I'll give it to him. But, ya gotta admit, Big Ed's alibi has got to be a close 2nd.

Sorry Mike would you rather have me call it cement? But I like Big Ed's alibi - that he was in the cab of an 80MAC on the CIOR going through Dunreith.

Mike,
No, you said it correctly. Most people who don't know call it cement, so I was giving you a back-handed compliment.
And
BIG ED is going to have to come up with a new alias if he really fit in the cab of a CIOR train.

I have no idea. I didn't watch the news or read the paper that day. I don't think the NS police dept. make their arrest records public.
