Napoleon Defiance & Western is about to pass thru Cecil Ohio on it's way to interchange with the NS at Woodburn Indiana with 24 empty tomato paste boxcars in tow.Track is still rough but much better then it use to be and derailments are much less common. pic taken 10/11/18
I will ask the ND&W Crew when I see them again, I always thought they came from the west coast but by what i'm seeing if looks to be warehoused in multiple locations throughout the US KENCO Logistics is a big player in this. Interesting tidbit of info. Tomato Paste is No. 5 based in tons of food products shipped on Union Pacific ! I see the same cars markings at the Kraft/Heinz Plant in Fremont OH at the Ketchup Plant.. that place goes thru a lot of railcars of paste and corn syrup.
On a side note did you not say that Erie Street in Butler IN near the diamond is a public road or is it Private Property.. The man that lives across the track is not a very happy man..
