Hartford Ciity IN Pennsylvania Railroad Depot

Post by Notch 8 » Mon Nov 14, 2016 7:31 am

Hartford City Indiana.... hard to fathom the importance of the Pennsylvania Railroad to the Town of Hartford City and the Orginal Overhead Door Company. Hartford City still exist (shell of it's former self) and the other two have since exited. The Pennsylvania Depot still exist today wtih the tracks stopping short about 10 city blocks to the west.. hard to believe this was a double track mainline to Columbus-Chicago.. The site of the former Overhead Door Company was purchased several years ago by a Michigan based company named Petoskey Plastics and they produce plastics films out of recycled plastic (trucked) and resins delivered in railcars !
