I rode the Broadway Limited back in '72 when I was in radar school at Great lakes. I would take the commuter train down to Chicago and catch the train at 4:00pm and it would get me to Lima at about 9pm. Sunday at 7am I'd take it back to Chicago and take the commuter back to Great Lakes. Total cost was about $20, with a reservation. Couldn't beat the service, and the Navy didn't even know I was gone for the weekend. That was what I called service.
