I always thought it odd to mix hood units in with the Fs. I know as long as the gearing and mu are compatible, it makes no difference, it's just aesthetics.
I also note the number of empty tracks in the yard. It could be a quiet time, or traffic has dropped off from war-time peaks and justifies some of the rationalization to come.
Even looks like a passenger car sitting in there. Maybe it's for MOW use, as I think they have a location closer to the passenger station for storage.
