Last weekend, we took the convertible up north and did a little exploring. We visited Inverness, to see roughly where the fatal accident was, and then we went to Orland and photographed the old depot, and then we spent a few minutes in Mongo, and I have a few questions I'm hoping somebody has the answer to.
1) Has the Orland Depot been moved, or did the railroad actually loop around to run past the current depot location, which is somewhat
opposite of the general direction of the line?
2) Was the Mongo Depot across the road from the grain elevator up against the mill pond?

Orland depot was originally on the south side of Railroad St on the south side of town.
The Mongo depot was on the west side of the highway next to the elevator.

Thanks, Howard, excellent information and both make a LOT more sense than what I was trying to imagine, especially Orland.

While we are at it, How about the Lagrange Depot? It also seems to be oriented the wrong way IF it is in the original location.
