Slight upgrade to the audio feed

Post by Greg46m » Fri Aug 04, 2006 10:27 pm

If you have a chance, listen in to the audio server for a little bit. Chances are you'll be hearing a little more than before, and a bit clearer as well. I finally got around to setting up the antenna that was donated to me by Howard Pletcher. It is 20ft fiberglass antenna, so I was a little leary about propping it up outside my apartment, but whats the worst that can happen; they make me take it down?

Now the scanner with the road channels runs off the new antenna and other mast-mount is dedicated to the secondary scanner. Since they are no longer sharing an antenna, each scanner will be able to pickup weaker signals better.

Hopefully outages will be a thing of the past now. I received a new router tonight and got it all setup and running. The problems of the router freezing and having to be reset should be no more and the audio will be available 24/7 now.
