Wabash Central Maintenance

Post by dbrackin7 » Fri Aug 29, 2014 2:36 pm

The east end of the trestle across the Wabash river was receiving some attention. It seams the roadbed was dug up and raised as well. They have a track tamper machine on site with plenty of fresh ballast to be worked.

It looked like they actually removed a section of track about 200' West of SR1 as I was heading to work. Heard it was a drainage problem. Not sure what they did as I was out of state at the time, but I noticed it's all back together when I got home. Craigville is safe for a while.

Do they run to Van Buren anymore?

They can. The locomotives disappear from Bluffton for a few days, so I assume they are West somewhere. They could be at Warren.
